Black History Worldwide presents Canadian Women of Influence an inspirational coloring & activity book. A visual celebration of ten trailblazing women who sacrificed, broke barriers, and gave of themselves, at a time when that was not easy and/or welcoming to do so.
I created this book in response to my frustration that the women who influenced my life and their contributions may go unnoticed. Pioneers in the truest sense of the word who accomplished extraordinary things and influenced their communities in significant ways yet very few remember them or even know about them.
Featuring ten brave women who created legacies for future generations; for those of us who will never completely understand the obstacles, and what it took to become what you were destined to be.
This book is dedicated to those trailblazers who came before us women like Viola Desmond, Salome Bey, Kay Livingstone.
The men and women who braved the times they were in; pushed upward and onward.
